The Wind That Shakes the Barley - 9/30/07 - Viewed on the small screen
Unfortunately this movie had a very limited release in the US. This is a period piece set in the 1920's about Ireland's fight for independence and the beginnings of the IRA. It's an interesting and sympathetic view from a freedom fighter's (or terrorist's) perspective. It stars Cillian Murphy and his Oscar worthy performance is brilliant as usual. It is important to note that while the movie is in English many Americans might need to watch it with subtitles.
