Story of the Weeping Camel – 5/1/08 – Viewed on the small screen
This is a Mongolian movie. It is more like a documentary about life as a Gobi desert camel herder which revolves around a mother and infant camel that don’t get along. Great perspective on nomadic Mongolian life. It also presents the interesting social forces facing the Mongolian countryside, specifically the introduction of 21st century western culture to an ancient lifestyle. But mostly it is just a camel weeping.
