Tropic Thunder – 9/5/08 – Viewed on the BIG screen
Ben Stiller is back and he brought an army with him! Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Matthew McConaughey, Nick Nolte, Tom Cruise and a litany of high-profile cameos. Many times this is a recipe for a high-profile dud, but Tropic Thunder delivers. Ben Stiller takes a back seat and mainly keeps the story moving along while Black and Downey steal the show. Along with a solid story, acting and hilarious moments, the movie packs a lot of nifty and possibly overlooked goodies, including three great spoof trailers at the beginning.
