Rescue Dawn – 1/24/08 – Viewed on the small screen
I love Christian Bale. I can’t think of a movie he’s done that I don’t like or he hasn’t had an amazing performance.  He’s supported by a fantastic cast including Jeremy Davies and Steve Zahn, who both became frighteningly skinny to emulate the weight of P.O.W.’s.  Werner Herzog, most famous for his documentaries has transformed one of his early projects into a real-life adventure film, free of special effects, shot on location and infused with the harsh realities of war.  It is a captivating, focused movie complemented by quality acting and beautiful cinematography.
