Once in a Lifetime...

Once in a Lifetime: The Extraordinary story of the New York Cosmos
– 7/13/06 – Viewed on the BIG screen
This is a documentary about soccer and the NY Cosmos. It is well done and highly entertaining. The interviews are funny and informative and the music gives it some energy. As a soccer player and fan, it kills me to learn that soccer was pretty close to being a big sport in America but due to league mismanagement the NASL folded in the late 70's early 80's. If it had only been around during the boom of the 80's who knows what could have happened. The NBA instead took advantage of the boom and the rest is history (of course they did have MJ, LB and Magic). Anyone interested in sports, especially soccer should see this movie.
