Miami Vice – 3/30/07 – Viewed on the small screen
1) We have Michael Mann directing (Heat, The Insider, Ali etc) whom, by the way, is just coming off one of his best movies for years in Collateral. I bet this follow-up should be good.  2) We have Jamie Foxx coming off his Oscar winning year and great supporting performance in Mann’s last film. Maybe this should be better than good.  And 3) we have Colin Ferrell, who in my opinion has never been in a good movie, but who has endless amounts of potential to be awesomely cool if he ever got the whole equation correct.  This seems like he may finally have that whole equation. So this movie should be a classic.  Drum roll…..  This movie was slow, pointless and boring.  It was a huge disappointment for me. But Colin was pretty cool.
