Live Free or Die Hard - 12/29/07- Viewed on the small screen
Ultimately, this movie is about cashing in on the Die Hard brand name. As a result, I suspect special effects and ridiculous action scenes were created and then a silly and uninteresting plot was woven around them.  The plot was so implausible it will make the most tolerant and shallow movie-goer laugh. Even with such great actors and a big budget a brainless action movie still needs a plot sufficient to move the action along. It also did not feel like a Die Hard movie, despite the one-liners and plot similarities from the past Die Hard films. Everything seemed forced which makes a lot of sense, considering the brand name was the only reason this movie was made.
