Grindhouse – 5/14/07 – Viewed on the BIG screen
This is a Tarantino/Rodriguez double feature…Yes, two movies in one! They get major style points and as a whole it is extremely original.  Kurt Russell was exceptionally cool and probably had one of the best car chase scenes in movie history.  The Prevues (previews) shown before each feature were hilarious and one of the highlights.  In the end the gratuitous violence and incessant foul language took away from the experience.  The dialogue was bad also. Who talks like that? No one.  It wasn’t nearly as enjoyable as the super cool dialogue of earlier Tarantino movies.  Is Tarantino still the coolest writer/director in Hollywood?  I still have to recommend this “just because I do” but be warned because it might not be your cup of tea.
