The Darjeeling Limited - 10/5/07 - Viewed on BIG Screen
Wes Anderson's movies are something all to their own and don't fit in with the typical Hollywood movie (or indie movie for that matter). They are quirky, sometimes nonsensical and have become more so with each movie he makes. This one is no exception. This time he has teamed up with Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola to share the writing credits and brought back two of his standbys (Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman) and one newcomer (Adrien Brody) to play as brothers on a "spiritual quest" through India. The movie makes about as much sense as those three actually being brothers but somehow is still a joy to watch. If you don't like Anderson's movies or thought The Life Aquatic was a waste of time don't bother with The Darjeeling Limited, but if you know what you're getting yourself into I think you will enjoy it. I'm personally dying for Wes and Owen to write another movie together!
