Boiler Room – 5/15/07 – Viewed on the small screen
I didn’t like this movie even though I’ve heard positive things for years and know a lot of people who like it.  The plot was like a checklist.  The story was thin and I don’t think it was plausible.  It was like watching an overblown, over exaggerated, stereotype of everything you think of as bad about investment bankers or brokers on Wall Street.  The good points were the great cast and acting.  The emotional side and father-son theme of Ribisi’s character were good but hardly enough to save this movie.
