The Big Chill - 10/21/07 - Viewed on the small screen
The Big Chill is The Breakfast Club for baby-boomers. It's prepackaged for boomer consumption, and as far as I can tell the plan worked perfectly. I bet the soundtrack made a killing also, as a hit song from the 60's played in every other scene. In general the movie was slow and probably only appealing to reminiscent boomers. It must have been a slow movie year in 1983 because this was nominated for best picture. It's not that bad, but is it worthy of an Oscar?
